Step 1 Free talk
After introducing myself and greeting the students, I talk with the students by asking
them some questions:
① Do you like your school?
② Do you enjoy your school life?
③ What subject do you like best?
④ What do you often do after class?
“I think all of you have a wonderful school life. Our old friend Millie also has
a wonderful school life. She writes an e-mail to her online friend,Tommy. What is the e-mail
mainly about?”
Step 2 Game time
1. Reading the text carefully
“Do you know well about Millie’s school life? We will play a game later. Now please
open your books and turn to Page44. Read the text carefully. While reading, pay attention
to the time, the places, the activities and so on.”
Get students to read the text to remember as much information as possible.
2. Playing the game happily
“Here are eight gold eggs. In each egg, there is a question. We have two groups.
Group A and Group B. Choose the egg, answer the question and get a point.”
Here are the eight questions:

②Does Millie have a lot of friends?
③What does Millie practise after school on Wednesday afternoon?
