Step2Main task A
(1) Read the instruction to the class.
(2) Let the students read Simon’s
notes and try to understand the
meanings.
(3) Ask the students to discuss the
difficult sentences in groups.
(4) Have some students read the notes
to the class.
Read Simon’s notes and
answer:
1) Where is the
shopping mall?
2) Is it in a good
location?
3) How many floors of
shops are there?
4) Where is the
restaurant?
5) Is there a big
cinema?
6) Is there a computer
games centre?
Help the Ss learn
about the shopping
mall.
Step 3 Main task B
Say: Simon is writing his guide. Help
him complete it using the notes in Part
A to help you.
(2) Say: Now read Simon’s guide and
(1) Read the notes in
Part A first.
Help the Ss learn
the article about
the shopping mall
according to Part A.
fill in the blanks.
Give the students enough time to
complete the article.

Look at the Star S
hopping Mall and talk
about it in groups.
