Step1 Lead-in
1.T: Today I am very happy, I got a birthday present last night.
Look ! What’s this ? It’s a wallet .My friend bought it in a gift shop
Do you know gift ? It means present, understand ?
Look! There’s some money in the wallet, right?
I like shopping ,with the money I can buy gifts for the people we love.
Can you tell me where I can buy presents?
(Show the pictures of part A on page81 to the students).
We can buy different things in different shops. Do you know what shops they are?(淡入)

2.Read the names of different shops and then have a discussion with the students like this.
(1) What’s this shop ?
(2) What can we buy there ?
(3) Who can we buy a present for from the shop ?
3. Finish part A and read several times.(淡入)

Step2 Presentation
T: Christmas is coming .Daniel wants to buy a present for Simon。 He’s asking Millie for
help.
1.Listen to the tape and answer the question below: (插入音频-02)

2.Read and repeat and answer the question
How do Millie and Daniel know to buy stamps for Simon?
Simon is interested collecting stamps.(对集邮感兴趣)
So before buying presents for other s, we should know he or she likes ,right ?
be(not) interested in (doing )sth 对某事(不)感兴趣

2) Why does Hobo ask Eddie to go with him? (Because he wants Eddie to carry all the bags.)
