Step1 Revision & Presentation
1. Introduce the topic with the pictures and fashion labels,put
the pictures on the blackboard. Then teacher says: boys and
girls, today I will be a shopkeeper. This is my clothes shop.
I have many clothes in my shop, I would like to welcome you
to my shop and have a look at my clothes. You can buy the clothes
you like. Believe me. My clothes are all in the latest fashion
and they are also cheaper.
2. Let the students choose the clothes they like and talk with
them.
3. Help students revise the names of clothing and present the
new words.
Step 2 Practice
Ask students: “What are youwearing today?” Ask and answer
with the students, like this:
T: What is the boy /girl wearing?
S: He/She is wearing…
T: What colour is it/are they?
S:It is/They are pink.
2. Ask students to put the following words in the correct boxes
and check it out together.
Step 3 Presentation
The teacher comes beside astudent and says: I think you look
beautiful in this coat. What size is your coat?(The student
answers:Size M) I like your coat very much. But I’m afraid
it is too small for me. Maybe my daughter can wear it. Can you
lend it to me? Teach the new word ‘lend’.
2. Now Mille is asking her mother to lend her some clothes for
the fashion show.Listen to the conversation between Mille and
her mum and answer the question:
What size is Mum’s blouse?
Who can wear this blouse, Mille or Sandy?
3. Listen and repeat,then act it out.
4. Explain the difference between borrow and lend.
Step 4 Presentation
1. Teacher says: We have lots ofclothes. Do you need to choose
what to wear every morning? What about Eddie? Let the students
discuss then lead in the dialogue between Hobo and Eddie
2. Listen to the tape and answer the following questions:
Q1.What is Eddie doing?
Q2.What does Hobo think of Eddie?
Read it freely and loudly then act it out.
Step 5 Conclusion
In this lesson, we revised and learnedsome names of
clothingfirst. Thenwe talked about fashion. After classyou can
practice conversations aboutfashion with your classmates.
Step 6 Homework
1. Remember the words and phrases we have learned today.
2. Finish off the exercises.
