Step 1. Presentation
1. Present a pictures of Jeremy Lin.
Ask:Who is this man?
Encourage Ss answer : This is Jeremy Lin .
T:Yes,he is a famous basketball player.Do you like him?Do you
watch his matches? Many people like this young man. Jeremy Lin
is their hero. He is a member of New York Knicks basketball
team.
2. The teacher talks with the students,
The teacher ask: Do you like spores? What is your favourite sport?
Who is your hero? Where can you watch his/her matches? Are you
good at …? Do you often play …aft er school? When do you usually
play …? Who do you often play …with?
Encourage them answer the questions.
Step2.Enlish Learning
1. Show the pictures and say to the students:Today, we will meet
David. He is a student at SunshineMiddle School. Do you want to
know more about him? Please read the article and complete the
table.

1. Please fill in the table in Part B with your own information.
2. It’s your turn now. I’d like you to write about your favourite
sport and hero.
3. Now you have finished your own article. Please work in groups of
