Teaching aims:
1. Learn consonants: /p/,/b/,/t//d/, /k/,/,/g/,/h/,/m/,/n/,[ŋ],/l/,/r/,/j/,/w/ A级
2. Read them correctly A级
3. Write them correctly. B级
Teaching difficulty:
1.Try to read some new words.
2.Communicate with simple present tense.
Teaching procedures:
Step I Presentation
1 With some pictures, lead in some words with these consonants.
2 Write /p/,/b/,/t/,/d/, /k/,/,/g/,/h/,/m/,/n/,[ŋ],/l/,/r/,/j/,/w/ on the
blackboard. Pay attention to the coloured letters in these words .How to read now? Tell
the students: They are the sounds of the consonants.
2.Lead reading the 14 new consonants.
3.Ask the students to try to write them.
Step II Practice
1 Ask students to cover the right side of these consonants.
2 Encourage students to read follow the tape.
3 Try to read themselves.
4 Correct their wrong pronunciation.
Step III Presentation
1 Encourage students to read the words in Part A. Pay attention to the different sounds
of the letters.
2 Lead students to find the difference between voiceless consonants and voiced consonants.
3. Lead them to find the difference between the rest consonants.
Step IV Drills
1 With the help of some pictures, help students to read
2 Play the tape many times, correct their pronunciation.
3 Finish Part B.
Step V Consolidation
1 Present Part C, try to read according to the rules.
2 Correct and prize some students.
3 Arrange several groups to read together, and arise their interest.
